About Sergiu

I’ve lived in London for over 10 years, and during this time I’ve worked as a Senior Engineer with British companies, global consulting enterprises, a Swedish medical startup, a Swiss agency, a German startup, and even a New York–based fintech company. My work and life in London have been truly international. My friends come from India, China, France, Ireland, the UK, Russia, Romania, and Moldova — and my English has grown into the same thing: international English, flexible and natural in every situation. I’m not a textbook teacher. I don’t just talk about grammar rules or theory. My experience has forced me to use English in real life: to understand humor, to make small talk, to work in multicultural teams, and to feel confident in conversations with people from all over the world. This is the experience I want to share with you. With me, you won’t just study English — you’ll learn how to live it, speak it naturally, and feel confident in every context.

About the lesson

My Teaching Method and Techniques I don’t believe in just studying grammar rules or memorizing words — I’ve been through that and I know it doesn’t work in real life. What I use is a mix of Smart English Immersion and TPR Storytelling. Immersion is all about understanding the meaning of real English conversations — the humor, the tone, the rhythm. TPR Storytelling is about finding your English voice: your rhythm, your flow, your confidence when speaking. The best part is that it’s self-paced. You’ll practice 1–2 hours a day with my audio lessons and daily immersion tasks. Then once a week, we’ll have a 1-hour call together where we review, talk through your progress, and I give you feedback and guidance in a friendly, relaxed way. A Typical Lesson Plan When we meet, we don’t do boring drills or textbook exercises. Instead: We start with a casual chat, just to warm up. We go over the immersion and audio practice you’ve done during the week. I give you feedback, tips, and new things to focus on for the next week. Between our calls, you just follow the two daily activities from my system, and that’s how your English slowly becomes more natural. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor I know exactly what it feels like to struggle with English. I moved to London when I was 20, and for 6 years I couldn’t feel comfortable in the language. Coming from Romanian and Russian, English felt so unnatural to me — I didn’t get the humor, I didn’t know how to express emotions properly, and I wasn’t confident in simple everyday situations like phone calls or making appointments. I spent 2 years fixing this problem, and I narrowed it all down to these two activities: Immersion + Storytelling. That’s what finally gave me confidence and allowed me to speak automatically and naturally. That’s why I know this system works — because I lived it. My Lessons Are Perfect For 1. Non-Germanic Native Language Speakers If your first language is Romance (Spanish, Italian, French), Slavic (Polish, Russian), Semitic (Arabic, Hebrew), or even Sino-Tibetan (Chinese), English might not “click” the same way. Grammar and idioms don’t feel intuitive, and sometimes you end up relying too much on translation. My method is designed exactly for this — to break through that barrier. 2. People Living in an English-Speaking Country for Less Than 6 Years I know how hard it is at the start — you’re surrounded by English, but you still don’t feel like yourself when you speak it. Jokes, small talk, politeness, even everyday conversations can feel uncomfortable. My lessons help you bridge that gap and build an English personality that feels natural and confident.
