About Samuel
I recently completed my degree in Music at Concordia University where I studied jazz bass and contemporary composition. Over the years I have had the chance to play in several rock/metal bands, jazz combos, choirs and as a solo artist. I currently have an alternative-rock band that gigs in and around the province of Québec. I also teach guitar at Académie Cadenza.

I think my strength as a music teacher resides in my versatility, my engagement and my passion. My experience covers a great range of musical styles, which I believe, helps me cater to the musical interests of my students. I'm someone who loves meeting new people and working kids. My goal is to help students grow and become musicians rather than just guitarists.
I recognize the importance of theory in music learning but I know this can be a tiring subject for many. I can offer a solid base by sparking interest for theory through a student's musical taste. I'm a very creative individual and I like to expand the learning experience by varying the format and content of classes. With me students not only learn bass or guitar but are also presented other instruments such as piano, percussion, voice and synthesizers. They become familiarized with notation and recording software as well as music history and pop culture.
