About Nghi

I started playing chess at eight and have competed in several national and international tournaments. Many times, I felt like giving up, but my passion and determination kept me going. I understand the challenges of competing professionally—it’s not just about chess skills but also emotional control and mental resilience. Some of my notable achievements include: 1 Gold and 3 Silver medals in the Vietnam National Championship Top 9 in the Asian Youth Chess Championship (Continental level) Silver Trophy in CYCC 2024 I hope to support you in your chess journey, whether you’re playing for fun or aiming to compete at a higher level!

About the lesson

Apart from academics, I’ve been a chess competitor for eight years, competing nationally and internationally across Asia and Canada. I offer lessons for beginners and intermediate players, helping you sharpen your thinking skills and providing tips if you aim to compete professionally. To master chess, you need a strong foundation in the opening, middlegame, and endgame, along with strategic and tactical thinking. In the first few lessons, I assess your strengths and weaknesses to create a personalized learning plan, ensuring well-rounded development in all key aspects of the game. One of the most important ways to improve is consistent practice and learning from losses. I hope to help you strengthen your chess skills and nurture your passion for the game!
