About Shawn
I’m an LSAT tutor and coach who genuinely enjoys the test and the process of studying for it. I scored a 179 after improving 14 points, so I know firsthand how much the right approach and steady habits can change your results. I recently graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Political Science, and I’m applying to law schools for Fall 2026. I’ve spent a lot of time mentoring students in academic settings, helping people build study plans, stay consistent, and understand challenging material. I’m patient, clear in my explanations, and committed to helping students feel supported throughout their prep. I approach the LSAT as a set of learnable skills, and my goal is to make those skills intuitive and achievable for you.

My lessons focus on helping you understand the LSAT at an intuitive level. We’ll break down the logic behind questions so you can recognize patterns and apply the same reasoning across questions. I’ll teach you how the test thinks, how to spot traps, and how to build the core skills that make the LSAT predictable.
Each session is structured around three goals:
- learning or reinforcing a specific skill
- practicing that skill with real LSAT questions
- reviewing your reasoning so you can improve consistently
I also take a coaching approach. I’ll help you develop strong study routines, create weekly plans, track your progress, and stay motivated throughout your prep. Whether you need help raising your score into a target range or aiming for 170+, I adapt lessons to your needs and pace.
I will help you make the LSAT manageable, even enjoyable, as you build confidence and mastery. With the right structure and support, you can make steady progress and see real results.
