About Zachary

I am a first-class Music graduate from King’s College London, where I am also an associate. While there, I studied piano at the Royal Academy of Music. (I also teach piano, composition and music theory on Superprof.) In October 2021, I attained my DALF C2 "Mastery.” I have taught French through superprof and Learn The Lingo since 2022, accumulating over 200 hours of experience and a track record of positive transformation among my many students. I studied French, Music, and Mathematics at A level, attaining the grades A*AA respectively. I learned the language through academia, from my own time in France, including my experience as a youth sailing instructor, and from my deep interest in French culture.

About the lesson

Learning another language can be an incredibly rewarding process. It stretches one's mind, one's preconceptions, and it's a useful skill you can take anywhere. It is important to establish from the start what your motivation is for learning French: exams, conversation, a specific job? This will allow me to cater each lesson to your needs and learning style. Depending on your goal, we will cover topics in the arts, the sciences, and current affairs; you will develop your vocabulary and your understanding of grammar; and you will be speaking from day one. I have only had 13 lessons with Zach so far and my french has already improved massively! We have done speaking, tenses and listening and I feel that my vocabulary has already expanded greatly. I think Zach’s teaching style of speaking mostly in french is a very efficient way to learn and I would definitely recommend!
