About Daya
I have spent thirteen masterful years guiding more than 510 students through the demanding but rewarding study of physical chemistry and chemical thermodynamics. My academic credentials include a doctoral degree in physical chemistry and postdoctoral research in statistical mechanics and molecular dynamics. I have taught at research universities and in private tutoring settings, working with students from advanced secondary level through to early graduate studies. My students have entered careers in chemical research, materials science, energy technology, and quantitative finance. I am widely respected for my mathematical rigor, my clarity of explanation, and my ability to help students develop the analytical skills required for physical chemistry. I maintain an extensive personal library of physical chemistry texts and research papers, and I regularly attend conferences to keep my knowledge at the forefront of the field. Outside of teaching, I enjoy mathematical puzzles, classical music, and the study of thermodynamics in everyday phenomena like cooking and weather. I believe that physical chemistry provides the deepest understanding of why matter behaves as it does, and I am committed to helping every student access that understanding.

My chemistry teaching is masterful in its treatment of physical chemistry and thermodynamics the mathematical foundations that underpin all chemical phenomena. I teach chemical thermodynamics through the laws of energy entropy and free energy with rigorous attention to mathematical derivations and physical interpretation. Kinetics is taught through the analysis of reaction mechanisms rate laws and catalytic cycles with extensive practice in interpreting experimental data. Quantum chemistry is introduced through the electronic structure of atoms and molecules teaching students to understand orbitals bonding and spectroscopy at a fundamental level. I emphasize the mathematical skills required for physical chemistry including calculus differential equations and statistical mechanics. My lessons are intellectually demanding and highly structured with clear derivations worked examples and challenging problems that develop deep understanding. For exam preparation I teach systematic problem-solving frameworks for thermodynamic calculations kinetic analysis and quantum mechanical applications. I also guide students in developing mathematical maturity and the ability to read and understand physical chemistry textbooks and research papers. My teaching is characterized by precision rigor and a passion for the mathematical beauty of physical chemistry.
