About Harry
Hi, I’m Harry. I hold a Master’s in Philosophy, but don't let that scare you off. I distinctly remember the frustration during my early studies of reading a single page of Kant five times and still having absolutely no idea what it meant.
That experience shaped my entire approach to tutoring. I’m a massive nerd for ethics and logic, but I have zero tolerance for academic pretension. I believe that complex ideas don't have to be confusing, and my job is to translate the jargon into plain English so you can actually use it.
When I’m not helping students deconstruct arguments or structure their essays, I’m usually over-analyzing the plot holes in bad sci-fi movies or attempting to bake sourdough that doesn't resemble a brick.

Philosophy often feels overwhelming due to dense texts, abstract concepts, and the pressure of high-stakes essays. My classes are designed to cut through that noise and provide a clear roadmap to academic success.
My methodology focuses on demystification and structure. We won't just read Plato, Kant, or Nietzsche; we will translate them into plain English to ensure you grasp the core arguments rather than getting lost in the jargon.
Once understanding is secured, we pivot to application. I teach essay writing as a manageable, architectural process. You will learn exactly how to structure a thesis, signpost your arguments, and analyze counter-arguments effectively—the specific skills examiners are looking for to award top marks.
