About Ammar

I am a multidisciplinary educator, researcher, engineer, trainer, and consultant with more than 25 years of experience in research, analysis, professional training, and applied problem solving.
My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, and a PhD in Knowledge Management and Artificial Intelligence. This combination gives me a broad quantitative perspective and allows me to connect mathematical ideas to science, engineering, technology, business, data, and real-world decision making when such connections genuinely help the learner.
Over the years, I have supported learners and researchers with complex quantitative problems and developed a teaching approach centered on clarity, structure, examples, and independence. I am particularly attentive to the hidden prerequisite gaps that often make a new topic appear more difficult than it actually is.
For Mathematics specifically, I combine step-by-step symbolic reasoning with graphs, numerical examples, visual explanations, and practical interpretation. I focus on helping learners understand relationships and methods rather than memorize procedures without meaning.
I teach in English, French, and Arabic and adapt my explanations to the learner’s age, educational system, background, confidence, and goals.

Mathematics becomes much easier when you understand the structure behind a problem instead of memorizing isolated formulas. My lessons are built around that principle: identify what is given, understand what is being asked, connect the problem to the right concept, choose a method, carry out the reasoning carefully, and check whether the answer makes sense.
I support learners from school through CEGEP/college and university, as well as adults who need to rebuild mathematical foundations or strengthen quantitative confidence. Lessons are adapted to the learner’s actual level, course, goals, pace, and preferred way of understanding.
Depending on your goals, we can work on:
• Arithmetic foundations, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, and numerical reasoning
• Algebraic expressions, equations, inequalities, systems of equations, exponents, radicals, and polynomial methods
• Functions, graphs, transformations, domain and range, and connecting algebraic and graphical representations
• Geometry, coordinate geometry, analytic reasoning, similarity, area, volume, and geometric problem solving
• Trigonometric ratios, unit-circle concepts, identities, equations, graphs, and applied trigonometry
• Precalculus foundations, sequences, series, and preparation for higher-level mathematics
• Differential and integral calculus, limits, derivatives, applications of derivatives, integrals, and related university-level foundations where relevant
• Linear algebra foundations, vectors, matrices, and systems when required by the learner’s course and within the agreed scope
• Word problems, modeling, quantitative reasoning, and translating real situations into mathematical relationships
• Homework support, test and exam preparation, targeted revision, and systematic work on recurring errors or missing prerequisites
Every session begins from your actual objective. We may use your syllabus, textbook, lecture notes, homework set, past exam, teacher feedback, or carefully designed examples. I often explain the same idea visually, numerically, symbolically, and through practical situations so that you can see how the representations connect.
When a learner is stuck, I do not simply repeat the same explanation more slowly. I diagnose the missing step - for example, a weak prerequisite, a notation problem, a misconception, or uncertainty about which method applies - and rebuild from there.
My goal is not to solve problems for you. It is to help you understand why a method works, recognize patterns, organize your reasoning, avoid common errors, and become progressively independent. For assessed work, I provide teaching, guidance, verification, and feedback while preserving academic integrity.
This ad focuses on mathematical concepts, coursework, and problem solving. Statistical inference and quantitative research analysis belong to my separate Statistics listing. Mathematics embedded primarily in thermodynamics, mechanics, or engineering systems belongs to my separate Engineering listing.

Getting started: You may begin directly with a paid tutoring session when the topic and objective are already clear. If you prefer to discuss your needs first, we can have a brief free Zoom meeting - together with a parent or guardian when relevant - to clarify the level, goals, and best learning plan. No booking or payment is required for this introductory meeting;
