Originally from the mountains of Himachal Pradesh, Anurag’s journey from an income tax advisor to a celebrated artist is a testament to his passion for music. He founded Qala Talents and Mutiny Records to promote Pahari music and nurture new talent.

As an artist and mentor, Anurag is dedicated to creating timeless music and sharing his knowledge with others. His work is characterized by simplicity, emotion, and a genuine love for the art.

About the lesson

Hey! So here’s how I like to teach songwriting and composition — not in a boring, rule-heavy way, but more like a jam session or a workshop where we explore songs together. We’ll sit with a subject or an idea, and I’ll show you how to shape it into a song. We’ll talk about the flow, the sound, the mood, and then slowly build it up into lyrics and composition. I’ll guide you through how to structure a song, how to use imagery to make it feel alive, and how to write in different styles. The fun part is that it’s not just me teaching and you listening — we’ll actually work on songs together. By the end, you’ll not only understand the process but also have songs that you’ve written and composed yourself. If you’ve never written before, don’t worry — we’ll start simple. If you already write, we’ll push it further and explore new ways to express. Either way, the goal is for you to enjoy the process and find your own unique style as a songwriter.
