About William

The instructor is an undergraduate at The Ohio State University studying political science on a pre-law track, with a background in analytic philosophy. He scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT and has published two law review articles, on Fourth Amendment doctrine and on automated decision-making, and clerks at a legal aid tax clinic. That combination, scoring at the top of the test while actively working in legal research and writing, means the LSAT is taught not as an isolated exam but as the reasoning that underlies legal work itself.
The teaching approach reflects an academic rather than a commercial orientation. The emphasis is on the formal structure beneath each question type, so that students leave with methods they can apply independently rather than answers to memorize. Feedback is direct and specific, and progress is measured by whether a student can explain their own reasoning, not by time spent in sessions.

About the lesson

These lessons are built for students who already know the basics of the LSAT and are working to move into the 170s, the range where additional points come from correcting reasoning errors rather than completing more practice questions. The instructor's background is in political science and analytic philosophy, and the method treats the test as a system of formal logic: conditional reasoning, necessary and sufficient conditions, and argument structure are taught as transferable skills rather than memorized tricks.

A typical session opens with a review of the student's recent practice questions to identify the specific question types and reasoning patterns costing points. It then moves to targeted drilling on those types, with each missed question worked through until the student can state why the correct answer is correct and why the trap answer fails. Sessions close with a written study plan for the days in between.
The approach is direct and feedback-driven. The instructor scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT and has published two undergraduate law review articles, and treats the underlying logic, rather than the score itself, as the subject being taught.
