About Wendi

I completed my ADN in 2006 and worked as an ICU nurse for 6 years. I then moved into the mental health nursing community and worked for a drug and alcohol rehab center for 6 years. While doing this, I went on to obtain my BSN and then MSN and began working as a full-time nursing instructor in 2015. I have been taking students to clinical in a locked psychiatric facility for 6 years and teaching mental health and med/surg for 8 years. I currently take students to clinical for all Med/Surg, and mental health, as well as work as a bedside nurse on a Med/Surg floor.

I have been teaching from the Halter book and Iggy books for 8 years, so I know these resources well, however using other resources can be accommodated. I have held many study sessions and tutoring sessions over the years with my students and absolutely love helping a student reach understanding in a subject (where they TRULY know it) :)

I love teaching all subjects of mental health and can guide through most medications as well to provide an effective understanding of the content. I also enjoy teaching diabetes, most things cardiac, respiratory, and can easily refresh on most subjects.

About the lesson

I have such a passion for mental health and have wrote curriculum multiple time for the subject. I have passion and like to have fun! I also work and teach most subjects of med/surg as well. I’m interested in doing group lessons with 2-4 students, over zoom. Private lessons as well. I have been told I’m comforting and easy to talk to, so please reach out :)

Details

I am interested in doing group study sessions for nursing students. Ideally, I would like 2-4 students who want to spend 1-2 hours studying together and learning specific subjects or prepping for a test. 2 students for 1 hour = $50/hr/student. 4 students for 2 hours = $25/hr/student. Get your nursing friends together and let's have a Zoom. The more students who would like to join, the more time we have for studying, and makes it much more cost effective for each student.
