About Alastair

I am a Masters graduate, with a first-class undergraduate degree in History and Politics, and three A*s at A-Level.

Across my time at school and university I have learnt how to explain complex topics simply and clearly.

I specialise in helping develop essay and exam technique to match specification requirements and boost your grades.

I have experience tutoring for A-Levels, and beyond academia have worked for an MP and as a research assistant for a think tank.

I have loved studying politics at A-Level, and for my undergraduate and post-graduate degrees, and I will bring this passion into every session.

About the lesson

Lessons are typically an hour long and are tailored to your needs.

We will develop a targeted plan based on your goals, exam board specification, and schedule.

This may involve assisting with exam and essay technique, reviewing class work to provide detailed and personalised feedback, building your analytical and evaluative skills, and reviewing challenging topics and concepts.

From my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as through first hand experience working for an MP, I can also help build a broad basis of subject-specific knowledge to help in your exams.
