About KaDe

My name is KaDe, and I am a licensed Special Education Teacher with a Master’s degree in education and specialized experience in transition programming for teens and young adults with disabilities. I currently work in a transition program supporting students ages 18–22 as they develop executive functioning skills, self-advocacy, employment readiness, and independent living abilities.

Over the years, I have worked closely with students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other diverse learning needs. My professional background includes IEP development, goal writing, transition planning, data-driven instruction, and individualized academic and life skills support.

I am deeply committed to evidence-based practices and student-centered instruction. My work emphasizes self-determination, independence, and practical skill development that extends beyond the classroom. I believe in fostering a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel capable, respected, and empowered.

Families appreciate that I combine professional expertise with patience, clarity, and high expectations. I maintain consistent communication, structured lesson planning, and measurable progress tracking to ensure meaningful growth for every student.

As an educator, I value professionalism, reliability, and integrity. I approach every session prepared, organized, and focused on helping students build the confidence and skills they need for long-term success.

Hi, I’m KaDe, a licensed Special Education Teacher and Transition Specialist who works with teens and young adults in building independence, executive functioning skills, and real-world readiness.

My teaching approach is student-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I believe meaningful growth happens when students understand why they are learning something and how it connects to their future goals. I blend structured skill-building with practical application so students gain confidence, not just content knowledge.

My teaching methods and techniques include:
- Explicit instruction with clear modeling and guided practice
- Executive functioning coaching (organization, time management, task initiation, planning)
- Real-life application of skills (budgeting, job readiness, self-advocacy, college/career preparation)
- Visual supports, checklists, and structured routines
- Gradual release of responsibility to build independence

I focus heavily on self-determination which helps students set goals, make decisions, and advocate for themselves in academic and real-world settings.

Each lesson will typically includes:
- A structured check-in and review of goals
- Direct instruction or guided coaching on a targeted skill
- Practice using real-world scenarios or current assignments
- Strategy building and reflection
- Clear next steps to build independence between sessions

What makes myself different is my background in transition programming for students ages 18–22. I specialize in bridging the gap between school and adulthood. I understand IEP goals, executive functioning challenges, autism supports, and the real-world skills students need beyond academics.

Rather than just completing homework together, I teach students how to think, plan, and problem-solve independently.

My lessons are ideal for:
- Middle school through young adult students
- Students with autism, ADHD, or learning disabilities
- Teens preparing for college, employment, or independent living
- Students struggling with organization, motivation, or follow-through
- Families seeking transition planning or executive functioning support
