About Patti
I am passionate about teaching and helping you to learn Spanish. I work with learners at all stages, from middle school, high school, college, adult education, and learners of every background. My experience allows me to quickly assess where a student is, identify problems, and design instruction that meets them exactly where they are. Students feel supported because I anticipate confusion before it happens and adjust my teaching to fit their needs. Those who choose to work with me can expect a clear understanding of concepts, and they will have an increase in confidence in their Spanish skills. Above all, I strive to make learning a positive, encouraging experience where students feel safe to ask questions, take risks, and we will celebrate their progress.

I start by understanding your personal needs—level, goals, strengths, and challenges. From there, I will explain and create activities to match your learning style whether it's visual, auditory, hands-on, etc.
I break concepts down into small, manageable pieces.
I avoid unnecessary words and use examples, concrete ideas, and models to make it easier.
I will provide a lot of modeling, guided practice, and eventually independent practice.
I am flexible and adapt to your needs. If something isn’t working, we will change the strategy immediately.
Every learner is different—my teaching responds to you and your needs!
I can teach children, teens and adults easily, any level from beginner to intermediate to advanced AP Spanish
