About Manmohan

About Manmohan
I am a Master’s in Information Technology student based in Melbourne, bringing a blend of technical precision and creative passion to the world of photography. My goal is to help you bridge the gap between understanding your gear and expressing your unique vision.

My Tutoring Philosophy

I believe that photography is, above all, an art form. Because art is inherently subjective, my mission is not to tell you what to shoot, but to help you discover your own creative voice. I aim to see the world through your lens, understanding the versatility of your individual perspective. For me, tutoring is a collaborative journey; every student’s unique vision is a learning curve that inspires me as much as I hope to inspire them.

Professional Experience & Legitimacy

My background combines formal training with high-pressure, real-world environments:
Industry Experience: Worked as a professional photographer at David Jones, mastering lighting and composition in a fast-paced setting.
Community Engagement: Extensive experience in event photography for church functions, capturing candid and meaningful moments.
Certified Expertise: Completed a comprehensive Photography Masterclass, gaining a deep technical understanding of framing, manual settings, and lighting.

About the lesson

About the Lessons

My name is Manmohan, and I bring a technical yet creative approach to photography. Whether we meet online or in-person within Melbourne CBD, my goal is to demystify your camera. My teaching methodology focuses on "Concept + Action": I explain the technicality of a specific term (like aperture or focal length) and immediately follow it with a real-world example of how to execute that shot.

What You Will Learn

We will cover the essential pillars of great imagery, including:
The Technicals: Mastering focus, exposure, and manual camera settings.
The Gear: Understanding different lens types and when to use them.
The Art: Framing, composition, and utilizing light to create depth.
The Finish: Basic editing techniques to make your photos pop.

Lesson Structure

Duration: 60-minute intensive sessions.
Frequency: 2–3 sessions per week (recommended for consistent progress).
Format: Flexible delivery—Online or Offline (City-based).

My Qualifications

I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Information Technology in Melbourne, which allows me to teach technical concepts with structured clarity. My hands-on experience includes:
Professional Experience: Worked as a Santa Photographer at David Jones and handled Event Photography for church functions.
Certified Training: Completed a comprehensive Photography Masterclass, covering advanced framing and lighting.

Who This Is For

These lessons are specifically designed for beginners of any age group. If you are "fresh" to photography and want to move past "Auto Mode" to start taking professional-looking shots, this is for you!
