About Peter

As a full-time math educator, I work closely with parents as partners in building their child's numerical fluency and lasting problem-solving skills. My focus is on transforming math-related anxiety into genuine confidence. Whether your child is wrestling with abstract concepts in algebra, preparing for demanding IB or AP courses, studying for a high-stakes exam like AP Calculus or the SAT, or needs to strengthen their foundational skills, I provide the patient and expert guidance they need. My role is to work alongside your family, ensuring your child has the robust mathematical foundation necessary for university and future STEM careers

About the lesson

Recognizing that every student perceives math differently, our journey begins by identifying their specific learning style and pinpointing any foundational gaps. Each lesson is carefully structured to make complex topics like algebra, geometry, and calculus feel intuitive and logical. We move beyond rote memorization of formulas to focus on why they work, building a flexible problem-solving framework they can apply to any challenge. The goal is to foster deep comprehension and lasting ability, resulting in higher marks and a student who is capable and confident in any quantitative subject they face.

Comprehensive STEM & Test Prep Support:
While my focus here is on Mathematics, many families appreciate the convenience of working with a tutor who is an expert across the STEM curriculum. This allows for seamless, long-term support as your child's academic needs evolve. My additional areas of expertise include:

Chemistry (IB, AP, A-Levels, GCSE)
University & Test Preparation (MCAT, SAT, SSAT)

Perfect! Peter has been an exceptional tutor this year to our son who was studying Grade 10 Chemistry and Physics at an IB school. It's evident that Peter really cares about his students. He is very organised, punctual, responsive and takes the extra time to review course notes and topic outlines prior to sessions to make sure he covers all the relevant material with his students, which we really appreciated.
