About Aradhana
Hi! I’m a first-year Engineering student at McMaster from Markham who genuinely enjoys math and tutoring. Inspired by my amazing high school teachers, I hope to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding, and develop problem-solving skills in a supportive, encouraging environment.

My approach to tutoring focuses on helping students understand the fundamentals of math so they can solve problems independently rather than simply memorize formulas and procedures. I believe that a strong understanding of basic concepts makes it much easier to tackle more challenging questions, so I'm always happy to revisit earlier topics whenever needed.
Before each lesson, I would ask students to let me know what topics they want to focus on at least a week in advance. This gives me time to prepare clear explanations, worked examples, practice problems, and homework tailored to their needs. During lessons, I use my iPad to work through questions step by step, demonstrate different problem-solving methods, and make concepts easier to visualize. I also provide extra practice questions for students to complete between sessions, drawing on resources such as textbooks and practice materials that helped me develop my own math skills throughout high school.
What sets me apart is my patience and willingness to adapt to each student's pace. As a current first-year engineering student, I understand the importance of both mastering the basics and applying them to unfamiliar problems. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and taking the time they need to understand a concept.
I offer tutoring for students from Grades 1–12, including IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches SL. Whether a student needs help catching up on foundational concepts, preparing for an upcoming test, completing homework, or challenging themselves with more difficult problems, I aim to help them become more confident and independent in math.
