I usually offer a first introductory session (free of charge), just to asses the needs of the student and whether we are potentially a good fit.
If this is indeed the case, I usually design a bespoke "plan of attack": I adapt course content and delivery style in order to ensure the student both meets their goals and understands the material in an optimal way
I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Toronto. Before that I earned my Ph.D. in algebraic geometry at UHasselt in Belgium.
My research has led my to travel around the world: I was an associate at UC Berkeley for a semester and an inverted speaker at other research institutes in Stanford, Paris, Edinburgh, Germany...
