About Craig

I am a PhD student at Florida Institute of Technology for Space Sciences. I have a strong background in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Mathematics, and Physics. I have been an educator since 2010: I have been an instructor in the classroom for 6 years, led my own physics lab for 2 years, and then have been tutoring privately since 2018. I recently finished tutoring a whole family from California, helping a pair of sisters go from struggling to keep their grades up to excelling in math and going off to college. I am remarkably patient, and firmly believe that every student has the ability to understand math when presented in a way that makes sense to them.

About the lesson

I like to give my students space to work on their own, but be ready and available the moment that there's any confusion. It is my firm belief that students learn best from within, and teachers are but vessels to facilitate that learning. As an instructor, I have been available to my students night and day to help them understand any material on which they feel deficient. As a student, I understand that what may seem simple to a professor can make a student totally lost. I like to work with students one on one to determine where they're getting confused, and find new ways of explaining the material to make sure they have a complete understanding of the subject when they walk into their final exam.

Parents will always receive written summaries after each session.

Perfect! Craig is the best math tutor we ever had among the many other tutors we have employed over the years. He is professional, well-spoken and patient. He is currently tutoring pre-calculus to my daughter twice a week. We have noticed a huge improvement in her math grades and she is enjoying every tutoring session!

Kristine is the mother of two daughters, and it's evident that she cares very much for her kids. I have more experience with her daughter, Krisivinne, than Kristine herself. We were able to easily create a tutoring schedule, and Krisivinne has been exceptionally punctual and receptive to my tutoring. Kristine has always ensured that I am always paid in full and in advance, and is quick to respond to all emails with any comments or concerns that I have.
I happily look forward to tutoring for this family for as long as my services are needed.
