About Émile

For my part, I am a student in mathematics, computer science and cognitive sciences in Nancy, France, I have at least 2 years of experience in each of the languages mentioned and regularly carry out various individual or group projects, in object-oriented programming as well as in web. I started to give private lessons in 2021 at students' homes and online (in various school subjects); I have therefore started to take certain habits in my teaching method, but you should not hesitate at all to tell me about it if you would prefer to make it more adapted to your way of learning!

About the lesson

This course is for beginners or false beginners of all ages in various programming languages. You will be able to learn web programming in order to create your own site, with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP languages, how to save, manipulate and retrieve data with the SQL language (more precisely the MySQL dialect), or even learn object oriented programming with Python and Java, in order to create your own softwares, games and mobile applications.
We can also cover some algorithmic concepts (variables, data structures, functions etc.) if you have never programmed, in order to be more familiar with the concepts generally used in programming.

For the first free course, we will start by taking stock of what you already know, and what are your goals, then we will configure your work environment by installing the software, modules and programs necessary to work in the best possible conditions.
We can then move on to practice: the courses will proceed in a mainly similar way: we will start with a review of the previous practical exercise in order to refocus things that were possibly unclear, then we will move on to a more theoretical part where we will approach new concepts, in particular by showing you code directly to determine what it does, and finally we'll have a practical part where you'll be able to practice with a mini-project, which you'll be able to finish in autonomy before the following course.
