About Esme

I'm an undergraduate maths student at University of Manchester, who achieved A*s in GCSE and A level maths (and not even that long ago!) I'm on track for a first class degree, and am hoping to go on to do a master's so will be in the tutoring game for a good while yet. I've been working with young people for a good while already, I've been doing tutoring for friends and family since I was 16 and have since branched out. I volunteered at a local charity, supporting disadvantaged primary school children with homework and working one-on-one with GCSE maths students. All that means that I'm great at motivating people who'd really rather not be doing maths and I'm very familiar with the basics of primary school mathematics. Outside of the mathematics, I've also got Computer Science A level and a good deal of programming experience and have done some basic python teaching as well so can offer that as an added bonus! I'm cheerful, patient, up for a challenge and (being a mere undergraduate) not even that expensive! Esme tutored me in Further Maths for A Levels. She was detailed in her explanations and helped me understand the more abstract parts of the course.
