About Matthew

Hi! I’m Matthew Garrett, a professional saxophonist and online instructor with experience in jazz, improvisation, performance, and recording. I help students of all levels—from beginners to advanced—develop strong tone, confident solos, and real musical skills. I focus on lessons that are personalized, supportive, and results-driven, so you can enjoy playing while actually improving. I also provide guidance on playing with backing tracks, live performance, and basic home recording, so your skills are ready for any musical situation. I believe anyone can grow as a musician with the right guidance, and my goal is to make learning saxophone clear, fun, and rewarding. Outside teaching, I love performing, recording, and helping musicians reach their full potential.

About the lesson

My online saxophone lessons are one-on-one, live video sessions for all skill levels—from complete beginners to advanced players. Every lesson is personalized to your goals, your level, and your musical interests.
