About Mykola
I am currently a final year medical student at Imperial College London. I completed my GCSEs and A-levels in Gosforth Academy in Newcastle upon Tyne where I was also head boy in Year 13. This was a great responsibility and allowed me to voice my and my peer’s views on improvements to our school, allowing us to feel comfortable in our learning environment. In addition to medicine, I have a particular interest in neuroscience leading me to complete a BSc in Neuroscience and Mental Health with a specialty choice module in Computational Medicine at Imperial College. I am currently the Club Captain for Imperial Medicals Rugby Club, which takes up a lot of my time and gives me great pleasure. I also enjoy reading and playing guitar and piano.

When teaching, I like to go through the contents from the textbook first, asking the student questions as I go and ensuring that they are familiar with the contents. I then go through textbook questions with them to allow them to consolidate their learning and finally have them answer exam questions to gain experience in answering questions under exam conditions. I then have them teach what they’ve learned to me to ensure that they know the contents and answer questions successfully.
