About Marieme

Hi, I am an MD student also completing my PhD studies at McGill University with 7+ years experience teaching as a private coach and at university (up to the graduate level). I previously earned a Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology, and an Honours Bachelor's in biomedical engineering after earning my French baccalaureate (high school). By applying specific strategies, I earned $120,000+ in awards and scholarships. I have experience with US, Canadian, and European school systems. I am also a mother, and a scientist with years of experience working in industry. These experiences have allowed me to easily connect with and understand students and their families. I work with children, teenagers, and adults. Students usually see improvements in their grades within a few sessions with me. The goal here is to make sure you become an independent learner. To me, coaching you academically will consist of listening to your needs, answering your questions, determining limiting factors that are preventing you from reaching your goals, and implementing a strategy that will work for your own specific needs. I may or may not also share anecdotes/lessons and funny stories gathered from my experiences studying in Europe, US, and Canada. This process is a team effort, and I am deeply committed to seeing you succeed. Let's turn your motivation into discipline!
