About Carmen

I am a medical student at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and earned a B.S. in bioengineering from UCLA. I am very passionate about science and learning, and would love to help you achieve your academic goals!

I know that applying to college or medical school can be a daunting task, but with the right resources and attitude you will succeed! I am here to guide you whether you need help deciding where to apply, strengthening your extracurriculars, or crafting your essays.

I have 7 years of tutoring experience. I started tutoring as a junior in high school and tutored fellow UCLA students weekly as the president of the UCLA Engineering Honor Society. I am happy to tutor all levels of biology, chemistry, and mathematics from elementary to high school.

About the lesson

I tailor my lessons to the specific needs and goals of my students. I like to help my students understand concepts in depth, so my lessons often involve a lot of practice exercises.
