About Kieran
I’m a 1st year medical student who has a huge passion for psychology and really miss A-level psychology. I enjoy learning about it through podcasts, books and in my medical course. I hope to become a psychiatrist after I qualify as a doctor. I am looking to tutor to help students enjoy psychology and get the grades they want, I know how scary A-level psychology can be and I was lucky enough to be supported really well by an amazing teacher and I would like to return this passion to new students. I am also looking to develop my teaching skills for my work in medicine.

I am looking for Year 12/13 AQA A-level Psychology students
My name is Kieran, a 1st year medical student who achieved an A-Star in AQA A-Level Psychology in 2025 (going from a benchmark of B), I am relatively new to tutoring as I have been tutoring a few students in the last 6 months, but this is one of my greatest strengths due to understanding what it is like being in your position recently.
Our lessons will be 1 hour long and will be flexible to your needs.
All our lessons will start with a nice introduction and discussion of our lesson, plus a fun starter task to get our brains working. This might involve a revision game.
In the main part of our lesson we will cover the topics that you want to. To do this I use a technique called verbal blurting (or written if that’s your style). This involves me asking you to recall everything you can remember about a topic and then I will ask questions and give you prompts to help you improve your recall, I will explain any misconceptions when needed. In addition I can do flash cards, past paper/essay walkthrough and explain tough topics.
I will encourage you if you do or don’t work with me to perfect your research methods, issues and debates and approaches, as this will really help level up your evaluation skills for your A03.
I also encourage students to send me at least 1 essay a week for me to mark and give feedback.
