About Melissa
I help Psychology students to improve in their subject, whilst growing as a student as well. I'm currently at the University of Cambridge studying Psychological and Behavioural Sciences, in my first year, after achieving three A*s in my Alevels.
I found that Alevels can be difficult though, and so I understand fully the difficulties both subject content wise and mentally. I myself was on low grades in Year 12 and into year 13, but was able to turn it around and was able to achieve the grades I was hoping for. This is therefore my main motivator for tutoring: I remember how tough Alevels were, and so would love to help you make them feel a bit easier, more enjoyable and more rewarding :)
I have absolutely loved teaching psychology revision classes and tutoring students, and so will bring a lot of enthusiasm and commitment to your sessions. I can’t wait to meet you and get started!

When independently teaching classes Alevel psychology content, I helped to explain difficult concepts into an easy to understand and memorable way. I understand the marking criteria and how to increase your performance on the exams, in addition to memorising the content well. All of my students have gone up at least 2 grades, with most going up 3, and every student has said I’ve been so helpful and that they’ve enjoyed working with me!
I have a plethora of ways of remembering concepts and facts in psychology, and I can’t wait to share them with you. I also have excellent exam knowledge, having marked Year 13 mock papers for a year now so can help you by marking your work too and helping you know instantly what each question is asking you.
My sessions normally last one, two or three hours - completely up to you!

Perfect! Just started sessions with Melissa but very friendly, knowledgeable and her explanations are already helping my daughter better understand areas to make sense! My daughter was a bit apprehensive getting a tutor but is now really looking forward to her sessions with Melissa.
