About Lucy
I am a 2020 Graduate from Bath Spa University, with a 1:1 in Graphic Communication. The nature of the degree relies heavily on keen non-verbal understanding and reasoning; and I excelled in my studies at both practical and written modules. Having passed the 11+ Entrance examination myself, I was pleased to receive a place at Queen Elizabeth I Grammar School; where in my final year I was fortunate to serve as both Head Girl, win national awards including the Diana Award, and sit on the local town council. I have already tutored over 10 students privately and not only have they completed their 11+ Exam, but they tell me that they feel more confident because of the development of these important transferable skills - and have consequently become more critical and aware thinkers.

I excel in teaching younger students non-verbal and verbal reasoning skills in preparation for their 11+ entrance exam, but I also am able to teach to older students and adults who want to gain skills for MENSA exams, or simply as additions to their resume.
I approach each student by identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and develop a plan of approach suitable to the individual. I try to tackle these complex questions and ideas by simplifying the concepts, and familiarising students with the questions and style of the exam.
