About Mieko

I want to teach Japanese because I know a lot of people love Japanese culture and want to know more about our language. I want to be able to help them with that journey in a fun, affordable and natural way.

About the lesson

With an hour per lesson, I teach Japanese the way I learned it: naturally and while having fun!

Every student is different so I mold every lesson depending on what YOU want to get out of them.

Want to speak like a local? I'll teach you natural everyday Japanese that people actually say, none of those textbook phrases.

Want to learn to read and write? Let's work through hiragana, katakana, and kanji at your own pace while learning new words.

Whether you want to polish your grammar, or practice your pronunciation, whether you're a total beginner or want to level up, I got the lesson plan for you!

Being raised in both languages means I understand both sides, it also means I know which are confusing and how to make it make sense!
