About Miguel
- What kind of experience do you have? I've been playing guitar for 17 years now. I've been touring extensively around Europe and I've played, wrote & worked as a producer in international records & top charting songs. I've worked with a long list of very versatile artists - I've been dedicating myself to Rock music (from Rock 'n' Roll, to Punk, into Heavy Metal), but I've worked with Soul, Blues, Alternative Rock & Pop Rock charting artists. - Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate? Not yet but working to get one very soon.

Pro touring musician & music producer; worked on international releases as a guitar player, songwriter, mixer, audio engineer & producer; background in music theory & classical guitar training, and a degree in Music Production from LA's UCLA. - Which subject(s) do you teach? Guitar (electric & acoustic) - I can tailor my lessons to your needs & level. I can teach about everything relating to guitar playing - songs, licks, improvisation techniques, theory, songwriting, guitar recording techniques, how to get & find the sound you want, touring etc... I also teach music production, audio theory, sound design, mixing & mastering techniques. - Tell me about your qualifications. I have a Certificate in Music Production from Los Angeles' UCLA (earned with distinction in 2012) & a Master Degree in Sound Design. I was trained in classic guitar playing since the age of 14, so I have both a real world & an academic background in everything related to music & guitar - from the playing of the instrument itself both in live & studio situations, to all the art around recording, writing & producing music. - How much do you charge? I charge £20 per hour for lessons given in my place (next to Turnpike Lane's tube station) or around this area. A travel fee will be applied for lessons around other areas of Central London, depending on location and week day. - Where do you teach? Right next to Turnpike Lane & Wood Green tube stations. - When are you available? My schedule is totally flexible. - Which ages and levels do you teach? 16+'s only. - Describe your arrangements for online tutoring. I can teach through Skype at a cheaper rate - please get in touch if you're interested in learning online. - Do you have a personal message for students? I can tailor the lessons to your interests, helping you learn your favourite songs, riffs or licks/solos fast without boring you with theory; if the case is that you do want to understand the theoretic side of what you're playing, learn how to improvise over anything, I will incorporate some theory concepts into our practical & hands on lessons. If you're interested in learning some new skills, as well as getting to know more about everything else related to recording & touring, in a non-formal, relaxed fashion while having fun and listening to great music hit me up! (I've also have an official Pro Tools certification, so I am more than happy to teach & help you out with anything relating to mixing & editing).

Classes with Miguel were great! He's very knowledgeable about everything relating to being and living as a musician. The classes suited my needs as i learned classic guitar riffs, songs and solos very fast. It also helped that he is a professional Sound Designer and Engineer, since i was able to get a lot of insight regarding how to record a band and how to act as a musician in the stuido.
I've been having guitar lessons with Miguel for more then 3 months now. I've been learning a lot, and classes are always funny and entertaining as well. Even though he is a really good professional, lessons are very non-formal and i learn a lot about everything related to music. He always finds the time to come to my place during the week, and i never feel like he's rushing the lesson or waiting for the hour to end, so i can't advise enough anyone to get some guitar lessons with him.
