About Stefania

My journey to Mindfulness started several years ago when I faced a series of personal challenges. Back then I was looking for a way to cope with what I was encountering and as a result of exploring different solutions, I started practicing mindfulness on a daily basis. After experiencing the benefits of the regular daily practice, I began my experiential training at London Meditation, an organisation accredited by both the UK Network for Teacher Training Organisations and the Association for Coaching. I wanted to explore the mindfulness field in more depth and widen my understanding, not only for my personal benefit but also to share the knowledge with other people.

This experience has opened a new chapter in my life, not only integrating and embodying the mindfulness practice in my everyday life, but also embracing the idea that I could show other people a different way to come to terms with the ups and downs of life.

I subsequently trained and qualified as a certified Mindfulness-based Awareness Coach ( as recognised by the Association for Coaching), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction qualified Mindfulness-based Application Teacher (MATT), as recognised by the UK Mindfulness Teacher Trainer Network, at London Meditation.

My professional experience as a mindfulness practitioner was enhanced by my scientific background in Psychology (University of Florence, Italy) and Cognitive Neuroscience (MSc Music, and Brain; Goldsmiths, University of London). My academic background has allowed me to explore mindfulness as an evidence-based type of intervention, whose benefits are confirmed by an ever-increasing number of scientific empirical studies. I maintain and deepen my personal meditation practice by attending regular talks, workshops, and group meetings across a range of different meditation techniques. Currently I manage group and one-to-one sessions, live and on Skype.

I see mindfulness as a way of living, a way to reach the core of our true self in order to live a balanced life in our demanding society. My role as a mindfulness practitioner offers a perfect opportunity to connect with people in an open, warm, and kind way and to share with them a safe space where valuable and profound skills can be learnt.

I teach individual mindfulness lessons and the 8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Programme. This is an experiential course that requires commitment and willingness to step out of your comfort zone.

About MBSR

This evidence-based 8-week programme was created by Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, in 1979, in order to help patients suffering from chronic pain.

Since its birth, thousands of people have undertaken the program which has been adopted in many hospitals across the USA and Europe, in the context of integrative medicine.

Is it for me?

Nowadays the MBSR course can be applied to anyone experiencing stress at different levels, both physical and emotional.

How does it work?

Through a series of meditation practices, homework, and sharing experiences, you will become more aware of habitual patterns that lead to negative mental states, and ultimately anxiety and depression.

The course aims to offer tools in order to build new and creative ways to deal with stressors in your life through a series of practices such as:

· Body scan

· Yoga movements

· Walking meditation

· Mindful eating
