About Shanmuga Bala Subramanyam

I’m someone who genuinely enjoys helping people grow in confidence and understanding. I believe that every student can learn well when concepts are explained clearly and patiently, and I find it rewarding to see someone go from feeling unsure to feeling capable and motivated.

My approach to teaching is based on first principles. Before solving problems or memorising formulae, I like to understand the fundamental ideas behind a topic and help students build a strong foundation. Once the core concepts are clear, learning becomes much easier, more logical, and far less intimidating.

I want to teach because education has played a significant role in my own life, and I’d like to pass that forward by helping students develop problem-solving skills, curiosity, and self-belief. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them become independent and confident learners.

About the lesson

Hello, I’m Shanmuga, an Aerospace Engineering graduate with a Master’s degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore & TU Munich. I have a strong academic background in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering, along with professional experience in manufacturing and research.

I enjoy explaining concepts clearly and helping students build confidence step by step. My approach is patient, structured, and focused on understanding rather than memorisation. I can support students with KS3 and GCSE-level Maths and Science, particularly Physics.

Having studied and worked in international environments, I communicate clearly in English and adapt lessons to suit each student’s pace and learning style. Whether a student needs help with homework, exam preparation, or strengthening their fundamentals, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making steady progress.
