I am an MSc Biochemistry graduate from the University of Manchester with distinction, offering GCSE and A-Level Biology and Chemistry tutoring. With extensive teaching, research, and presentation experience, I deliver clear, engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs, helping them excel academically

About the lesson

I take a student-centred and concept-driven approach to tutoring, ensuring that complex scientific topics are made clear, accessible, and engaging. My methodology combines structured explanations, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving to help students build a strong understanding rather than just memorising content. I often break lessons into manageable sections, check for comprehension regularly, and adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning pace and preferences.
Typical lessons last 60–90 minutes, allowing time for explanation, guided practice, and discussion. I also provide additional support materials, practice questions, and tips for effective revision and exam preparation.
I bring extensive academic and practical experience to my tutoring. During my undergraduate studies, I regularly taught assigned topics to classmates, running over 10 tutorial sessions that were highly appreciated for clarity and approachability. During my MSc research at the University of Manchester, I demonstrated laboratory techniques to students, presented research progress in lab meetings, and delivered poster presentations to both academic and non-academic audiences. I have also presented my research at three national and international conferences and contributed to a peer-reviewed publication.
Beyond formal teaching, I have experience in academic leadership and outreach: as Secretary of the Nature Club, I organised and hosted workshops, academic programmes, and public engagement events, strengthening my communication and leadership skills.
I tutor GCSE and A-Level students in Biology and Chemistry, tailoring lessons to each student’s level, goals, and learning style.
