About Mira
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BA in Chemistry. My work with students often focuses on the fascinating world of polymer chemistry and materials synthesis. I guide learners through polymerization mechanisms, exploring how monomers transform into the complex structures that define plastics, rubbers, and composites. In my sessions, we dive deep into the relationships between chemical structure and material properties. I help students see how molecular-level arrangements control strength, flexibility, thermal stability, and other key behaviors. My teaching approach in Chemistry is designed to build both deep understanding and strong problem-solving skills. For students preparing for the AP Chemistry test, I focus on targeted drills and practice tests to master key concepts and improve speed.
Complex problem-solving is at the heart of my lessons. I break down difficult theories into simple, clear explanations and connect them to real-life applications. Experimental analysis is also a key part of my method, helping students understand not just the “what” but the “why” behind chemical reactions.
I also guide learners through data interpretation, chemical equations, and lab-based problem sets. As an experienced mentor and epidemiologist, I bring a unique perspective that connects chemistry to broader scientific and analytical thinking. My sessions include regular practice under timed conditions to mirror exam scenarios.
