About Evie

I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and a BA in Chemistry. I enjoy working with students who are curious about polymer chemistry and materials synthesis. My lessons cover polymerization mechanisms, material properties, and the applications of plastics, rubbers, and composites. I help students understand how chemical structure directly influences the macroscopic behavior of materials.

I focus on connecting theory to real-world applications, showing how molecular arrangements affect strength, flexibility, and durability. Lessons are interactive, with examples that link lab observations to industrial and everyday materials. I guide students through problem-solving exercises, experimental design, and analysis of polymers.

By exploring materials synthesis, students learn not just how materials work, but why they behave the way they do. I encourage critical thinking and creativity, helping students make connections between concepts and applications. Together, we explore polymerization techniques and how they lead to innovative solutions in materials science.

About the lesson

My teaching approach in Chemistry is designed to help students fully understand concepts and excel in exams. I cover topics including Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Electrochemistry, and Analytical Chemistry. Special focus is given to AP Chemistry test preparation, complex problem-solving, theoretical explanations, and experimental analysis.

I use targeted drills and practice tests to strengthen problem-solving skills and identify areas that need improvement. Lessons are structured to build knowledge step by step, making difficult concepts easier to grasp. I provide clear explanations and real-life examples to make learning engaging and practical.

Assignments and exercises are designed to challenge students while boosting confidence. I emphasize critical thinking and analytical skills, so students can tackle unfamiliar questions with ease. Lab experiments and data analysis are included to link theory with practice.
