About Kiran
From ‘I don’t get it’ to ‘this actually makes sense’—that’s the transformation I aim for.
I am an MSc Mathematics graduate with over 7 years of teaching experience, working with school students across Grade 5 to 10.
What defines my teaching approach is a strong focus on understanding why things work the way they do in mathematics, not just how to solve a problem. I believe that once students grasp the reasoning behind a concept, the subject becomes far more intuitive, less intimidating, and much easier to apply.
Over the years, I have worked with students at different levels of ability, including those who struggle with confidence in math. This has helped me develop a teaching style that is patient, structured, and highly adaptive, ensuring that each student learns at a pace that suits them.
Along with teaching, I have also been involved in lesson planning and curriculum structuring, which allows me to deliver well-organized, step-by-step learning rather than unstructured sessions. This ensures clarity, consistency, and steady progress

My teaching approach is concept-focused, structured, and student-centric. I believe mathematics becomes easy when the “why” behind each concept is clearly understood, rather than memorised.
I design my lessons using a curriculum-informed framework, ensuring that learning is progressive, logically sequenced, and aligned with academic goals. Each student is guided at their own pace, with emphasis on clarity, consistency, and long-term retention.
STRUCTURE OF A TYPICAL LESSON:
Each session is carefully structured to maximise clarity and efficiency:
1. Diagnostic recap to assess retention and identify gaps
2. Concept introduction using intuitive explanations and relatable examples
3. Guided problem-solving to demonstrate application
4. Independent practice with real-time feedback
5. Targeted doubt resolution and summary
Between sessions, I may suggest focused practice tasks to reinforce learning and track measurable improvement.
WHAT SETS ME APART?
1. Strong emphasis on foundational clarity and logical thinking
2. Structured lesson design influenced by curriculum development experience
3. Ability to simplify complex ideas into easy, understandable steps
4. Calm, patient, and encouraging teaching style
5. Focus on building confidence, accuracy, and love for Mathematics!
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
Kiran has a way of making difficult topics feel simpler —My nephew struggled with a few things earlier, but after her classes math felt much more manageable and enjoyable for him.
Kiran has a remarkable way of explaining concepts with clarity and patience, breaking them down into simple, easy-to-understand parts that genuinely make sense. I’ve seen this firsthand, as she used to teach my son, and the difference she made was evident. I still remember a couple of topics my son struggled with for quite some time, but when Kiran was done teaching them, something in him pretty much just clicked. That kind of impact is rare in my experience and it made a meaningful difference in my child’s confidence and learning journey.
Kiran is someone who actually listens to students and adjusts based on what they need. She doesn’t just go through the syllabus and leave it at that. I’ve seen her spend extra time when needed, and it really shows in how students improve over time.
I’ve known Kiran for some time and have seen how she works with students. She takes her time and doesn’t rush through topics, which really helps. What I’ve noticed is that students feel more comfortable asking questions with her, and that makes a big difference. She’s reliable and puts in real effort.
