About Ashley

I started my own business called Imagine in Music. (imagineinmusic.com). Please contact me at (concealed information) or (concealed information) for questions regarding lessons and booking. I'm a Music Studies and English writing graduate of William Paterson University of January 2018. I'm now pursuing a Business Analytics MBA which I am completing in May 2023. I am highly passionate about music so I have decided to continue teaching while working full time. If you'd like to try out a teacher who truly loves what they do, I may be the right selection. My primary instrument is piano, though I play several others such as flute, guitar, and clarinet. A huge part of music is not just learning how to play the notes correctly, but to come to understand the amazement that can be experienced from the act of playing an instrument. Love and practice can take someone very far if they are truly dedicated to their art. It's also important to me that students are playing music they enjoy. I like to introduce different styles of music all the time to make sure students don't get bored of their instruments. I also make sure I teach students what they want to learn if they have any preferences. Witnessing a student enjoy what they're doing while improving their skills in the process is an amazing feeling for both student and teacher. I want to show people what it is I love about music so much, and hopefully instill within them the same love and passion. I would like possible future students to know that I am not like any other instructor, as generic as this may sound. I have a true passion for music which I love sharing with others. Whether music is a way of life or just a hobby for someone, it can be something that sticks with them for the remainder of their lives and brings great happiness and enjoyment.

About the lesson

I own an acoustic baby grand piano, and organ, and an electric keyboard available for students to learn with, and offer virtual lessons as well.
I am versed in multiple styles including classical, pop, rock, jazz, and blues.

Ashley taught my 10 and 14 year olds piano for 2 years until our schedules interfered. In a short time kids have gone from being unable to read music to playing simple classical pieces by composers like Beethoven and Bach.
She also worked with my kids on different kinds of music they liked too like theater and pop songs, and would write the music out for them to make it easier to play if needed. Overall we've had a great and lasting experience and hope to coordinate lessons with Ashley again soon. My kids are much more passionate about music now and actually enjoy practicing...and I enjoy listening to it, lol. Thank you Ashley!
