I have been teaching students for the past 11 years. Every student is different, with different goals and backgrounds. I aim to adapt my teaching approach to the student's individual needs. In general, a session starts by reviewing the student's "homework" and answering any potential questions or doubts about the topic. We then continue to discuss the subsequent topic, and the student receives "homework" to practise and consolidate the newly acquired knowledge. ABRSM preparation: I am pleased to say that my student's pass rate for ABRSM exams has been 100% (with most students achieving merit or distinction). GCSEs and A-Levels: I have prepared students for their GCSEs and A-levels in music with excellent outcomes. University & Professionals: I have prepared students for their entry exams into Music Universities and some of my students have gone on to actively work in the music industry.

Ros has the patience of a saint! He’s always calm and encouraging, putting you at ease, which really helps you stay focused during the learning process (and not nervous or stressed or worried to ask any questions). He has this extraordinary ability to explain even the most complicated things in a way anyone can understand! The structure of his lessons is super efficient as he always makes sure you understand all the fundamentals before moving to the next topic. That way, you really learn and can grow your confidence in your newly acquired knowledge as well as make really good progress. There’s very few teachers in this world of his quality, and most of us are lucky if we meet one like that during our lives - and for me that’s definitely Ros. I could not recommend him enough! Plus - he’s such a nice person! And has a great way with children. You simply can’t go wrong with Ros - wether you book his services for yourself or your kids.
What's special about Ros, is that he manages to reveal to you the little (as well as big) tricks in composition & production, that you will not find in any book out there. Made my music so much better!
