About Sofia
The first session is an exploration of your goals and existing confidence with everyday phrases. We start by discussing your current level and what motivates you to speak more fluently. Our sessions integrate vocabulary building, grammar, and role play to get you comfortable with both Latin American and Castilian variants.
Because I have 13 years of experience, I know how to make pronunciation feel natural rather than forced. We often utilize dialogue practice to simulate real-life scenarios for working professionals and students alike. It is quite rewarding to watch you gain the confidence to express your thoughts in a new language. You will find that learning Spanish can be as rhythmic and fun as learning a new song.

You deserve a guide who understands the rhythm of language. I bring 13 years of experience to our sessions, having taught hundreds of students from various backgrounds. My BA in Music and Spanish from the University of Melbourne provides the academic foundation for my native speaker roots. I work with kids, teens, adults, and working professionals to bridge the gap between textbook Spanish and real-world dialogue.
My teaching style is rooted in the Chilean nueva-cancion tradition, which means we emphasize the flow, tone, and musicality of every sentence. I truly enjoy seeing people connect to the culture behind the words.
