About Man Wa Mandy

**About Me:** I hold a Master's degree in Music from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and possess advanced performance qualifications, including an ATCL diploma from Trinity College London and ABRSM Grade 8 (Distinction) in Clarinet. I also hold an ABRSM Grade 8 in Music Theory. With ten years of experience teaching both private and small group clarinet lessons, I've had the privilege of studying with renowned instructors and working with students ranging from K2 to adulthood. **Performance Experience:** * Extensive studies and performances in Germany. * Guest performances in Cologne and Stuttgart. * Representing Hong Kong as a clarinetist with the Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Band in South Korea. * Recording clarinet for popular music tracks. * Active participation in local orchestras and wind bands. * Extensive experience in orchestra and small ensemble performances. **Why Choose Me?** I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping students of all ages and levels develop their musical abilities. **Teaching Philosophy and Methods:**
* Tailored teaching materials and a clear learning process are arranged according to each student's level and progress.
* Students are arranged to participate in performances, competitions, and exams to help them set goals in the process of learning the clarinet, cultivate interest, and broaden their musical horizons.
* Emphasis on basic skills training (including: embouchure, breathing, fingering)

**Student Achievements:**
I have experience assisting students in preparing for the Royal Academy of Music exams and the Hong Kong School Music Festival solo competitions. In the past, students have achieved excellent results such as Grade 6 and 7 Distinction in the Royal Academy of Music clarinet exams. Students have won the second runner-up in the Hong Kong School Music Festival competitions. I am passionate about teaching instruments and hope to pass on my knowledge.
