About Patty
Performing a diagnostic skills check is the most critical first step we take. 309 students have used this method to build a solid foundation before we start playing. We assess your current rhythm guitar ability and reading sheet music level. Then we move into blues progressions and essential maintenance tips.
I bring my BA Music background into every technical explanation. We focus on the strumming patterns that define your favorite songs.
This allows us to target your specific needs as a returning learner or grade exam candidate. My 13 years of experience mean I can adapt to any challenge you face. Is there a specific blues track you have always wanted to play?

Holding a BA Music in Songwriting feels like having a guitar string permanently etched into my fingertip. I have spent 13 years guiding 309 students through the nuances of rhythm guitar and strumming patterns.
My approach draws from the traditions of Charlebois to keep lessons grounded and patient. Teens and grade exam candidates often appreciate this practical, hands-on style.
I provide clear guidance on reading sheet music and maintaining your instrument. Tuning and maintenance are vital parts of the process. I also love helping returning learners reconnect with their blues progressions.
Ear training is a major component of what I offer here. I am confident we can find your sound quickly.
