About Elisabeth
Some of my earliest memories are of randomly breaking out into song with my siblings. I taught myself piano because I wanted to play "Music Of The Night." Naturally, by the time I was in high school, I knew I wanted to teach music. I began teaching private lessons immediately after my high school graduation, and I haven't stopped since.
With a degree in Music Education, over 10 years of teaching experience, multiple different instruments in my personal collection, and performance excellence in jazz, band, orchestra, and solo piano and flute, I have a passion for all kinds of music on all kinds of instruments.

There's no one way to learn an instrument; it all depends on you and your goals. Want to play jazz? Classical? Pop? All the above? The sky's the limit, and I want to make your lessons that way, too!
THE LESSON
A typical lesson with me includes:
-Etudes and scales
-Practicing current music (or learning a new piece!)
-Sightreading
-Technique
-Music theory
-Music history
The twist is that from start to finish, it will all relate to the music you're learning—from the scales to the music history.
WHO I TEACH
My lessons are for beginner or intermediate students at any age—from 5 to 85! If you want to play piano or are looking for the motivation to practice again, you've come to the right place.
MATERIALS
For beginners, I like to start out with the Faber books, as they provide a solid foundation for piano playing. Afterward, we can branch off to other books or repertoire based on your preferences and goals.
For those with experience, I can work with whatever book(s) you have. We can also do a repertoire-centered approach with supplemental theory, technique, etudes, etc.
