About Peter
My name is Peter, and I am a professional pianist and music educator originally from Hungary. I have nearly 20 years of experience playing and 5 years experience of teaching music, with a strong background of jazz piano.
Music has always been the biggest part of my life, and I am deeply passionate about helping others understand how music really works. I believe music theory should be clear, practical, and useful, not confusing or overly academic. In my lessons, I focus on real musical understanding that students can actually apply when they play.
I studied music at Béla Bartók Secondary School of Music in Budapest and later continued my education at Leeds Conservatoire in the UK. These experiences have shaped both my playing and my teaching style.
Whether you are a beginner or a musician wanting to strengthen your foundations, I aim to make music theory simple, logical, and enjoyable.

My lessons are fully personalised and focused on you and how you learn best. At the start, I take time to understand your level, goals, and what you find difficult, so we can work on exactly what you need.
I explain music theory in a simple and practical way, making sure everything makes sense before moving on. Lessons are interactive and relaxed — you’re always encouraged to ask questions, try things out, and learn at your own pace. We use real musical examples, not only dry exercises.
I give clear feedback and adjust lessons as we go, so you can see progress and build confidence quickly. The lessons are one-to-one and last 60 minutes, giving you plenty of time to really understand the material.
My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students, including adults who want to finally understand music theory properly. Whether you’re studying for exams or just want music theory to stop feeling confusing, I’ll help you make sense of it.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
Not only is Peter an incredibly talented musician, he is a patient, engaging, and personable piano teacher. In the time I have been having lessons with him both my skills on the piano and my knowledge of music have come on massively. He is well versed in a number of genres of music, and has the flexibility to cater each lesson to whatever whim I may come to him with, whether this be to learn a specific piece, develop improvisational skills, or improve my general music theory knowledge. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn piano or develop their pre-existing skills!
Peter is an excellent pianist who can play a range of styles and genres. He proved himself indispensable when I was recording some of my original compositions, when he picked up the material very quickly and played it beautifully. His depth of knowledge and experience also makes him a fantastic teacher.
Peter is the best tutor you could ever have! He is patient, friendly, having high level skills in music and he’s master of the piano. I always look forward to our next sessions and can’t wait to learn more.

I found Peter's ad on a Facebook group and I always wanted to learn the piano, so I contacted him. Peter is a clear, and professional teacher who's also easily approachable. I love working with him!
Peter's passion for jazz, implied by his dedication as a musician, suggests a deep knowledge of his craft, which is a valuable trait in a trustworthy tutor. His commitment to music, especially within the complex genre of jazz, indicates a level of discipline and expertise that could benefit students. Additionally, being a performing pianist means he likely has real-world experience and practical knowledge, which can be instrumental in providing a comprehensive learning experience. If he brings the same energy and dedication to tutoring as he does to his performances, students will likely find him inspiring and reliable.
Peter is one of my best and oldes friend, we have known each other since birth. He is the most qualified jazz pianist I have known. Furthermore he graduated in music from university of Leeds. In the other hand I recommend Peter because of his personality. He is patient, considerate and very cheerful, so learning music is a pleasure with Peter!
So I wholeheartedly recommend Him to everyone who want to start learning piano.
MarkTo whomever it may concern,
I have been fortunate enough to play with Peter extensively over the last few years in jazz trios/quartets and function settings. His musical aptitude is incredible in all areas of musicianship. His attention to serving the music whilst improvising freely is incredible. He is a very versatile musician, playing pop, jazz, folk and classical music. I am sure that all of these attributes will carry across into his teachings. I would highly recommend Peter as your piano teacher and musicianship teacher. I’m sure his breadth of knowledge will be helpful to many.
