About Maeve

I am an experienced Flute teacher with more than 5 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute in a clear and structured manner.

My tutoring style focuses on strong musical foundations. I guide students in breathing control, finger coordination, tone quality, rhythm, and musical expression. Lessons are planned carefully to ensure steady and confident progress.

I place great importance on communication and regular practice. I explain techniques in simple language and give demonstrations. Accountability is maintained through progress reviews and honest feedback. Integrity is central to my teaching approach.

In addition to flute training, I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm exercises, and performance preparation. I help students prepare for exams, auditions, and recitals.

My unique skill is my ability to motivate students and help them stay consistent. I aim to create a supportive, disciplined, and encouraging learning environment.

About the lesson

My flute teaching methodology is designed around Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, providing a comprehensive, student-centred learning experience. I start by assessing each student’s level, goals, and learning preferences, and design lessons that meet their individual needs.

Communication is key—I clearly explain techniques such as posture, breath control, fingering, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading. I provide constructive feedback and encourage active participation to build confidence and engagement.

Creativity is at the heart of my lessons. I motivate students to explore musical improvisation, experiment with different genres, and develop their own interpretations of pieces. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons in real-time, addressing challenges, reinforcing difficult concepts, and providing advanced techniques when students are ready.

In addition to flute instruction, I teach music theory, rhythm, ear training, and sight-reading, fostering comprehensive musicianship.
