About Brenna
I'm an audio designer, artist, and educator with over six years of experience working in Ableton Live. My background blends music production, sound design, and immersive storytelling—often focused on creating emotional, atmospheric soundscapes. I've worked on commissioned audio art for international residencies, scored meditation podcasts, and released my own music as a form of both self-expression and sonic exploration. Most recently, I launched the SoundEscape Fund, my first independent grant initiative dedicated to supporting female producers and sonic pioneers. This project reflects my commitment to making the music and audio space more inclusive, innovative, and empowering. As a teacher, I'm passionate about helping others connect with their unique sound. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach—I work intuitively, listening to where you're at and guiding you toward deeper creative confidence. Whether you're just opening Ableton for the first time or looking to break through creative blocks, I'm here to support your evolution as a sound maker.

My teaching approach goes beyond the technicalities of Ableton—it’s about learning to listen. I believe that while Ableton offers thousands of tools and workflows, the most important instrument is your ear. My lessons focus on developing intuitive musicality and creative confidence, helping you navigate the software in a way that complements your unique sound and artistic voice.
Each lesson is shaped around your personal goals. We’ll typically start by identifying what inspires you musically, then explore how to translate those ideas into Ableton using a blend of improvisation, sound design, and arrangement techniques. Depending on your level, sessions may include working with drum racks, audio effects, vocal processing, or building full song structures—all while reinforcing your ability to hear and shape what you want to express.
What sets me apart is my holistic, artist-first approach. I’m not just here to teach you how to use a DAW—I’m here to help you hear yourself more clearly and bring your sonic ideas to life. These lessons are perfect for beginners who feel overwhelmed by the software, intermediate producers looking to break out of rigid templates, or anyone wanting to explore a more intuitive, soulful way of making music.
