About Renaud

I first studied and played guitar and then bass from the age of 13. Overtone Singing, Jew's Harp and Didgeridoo were the first world musical instruments I learned, followed later by other world musical instruments such as Alghoza, Guembri, Ney... I have been practicing overtone singing for 20 years. I played in different countries (including China and Australia) and with various musicians. I recorded about 2 CDs containing overtone singing as well as other CDs with other of my instruments. In 2019 I created a brand of eco-responsible Didgeridoos in Melbourne, Australia, based on the concept of authentic Australian Didgeridoo renovation called DidgeReviv' ((concealed information) For references, please see (concealed information) for some of my work.

About the lesson

Overtone singing is an ancient singing technique still used in some countries (the best known being Mongol singing) where two notes are generated at the same time: a fundamental sound and one or more harmonics which are superimposed. The modulation of certain muscles of the mouth (tongue, lip) as well as the creation of a resonance make it possible to create melodies through these harmonics.

Not only Renaud is a quite good and versatile player but he is also a Didgeridoo maker who created the brand DidgeReviv', a projet dedicated to Reviving old genuine didgeridoos. And he's great at it!, bringing to life DIdgeridoos that matches his vision of music.

Great teacher, he's been teaching didgeridoo - among other instruments - for 18 years, in France, China and Australia.

Renaud has been performing and promoting Didgeridoo through various projects and recordings.

Having him with DidgeReviv' is a great asset, in a context where Didgeridoos are being mass produced and counterfeited, he brings an obvious visibility to those who want to get a good didg and start learning.
