About Chloe

My passion for music was developed at an early age and by the age of 10, I was regularly playing the drums with a full band at her East London Pentecostal church. I am now a competent drum player, achieving Rock School Grade 8 in drums, and I'm also skilled in playing classical and jazz piano.

I studied Music, Drama and Expressive Arts at high school, taking additional drum lesson both in school and privately at the Bob Armstrong’s Drum school. I was also tutored and mentored by the successful drummer Andrew Small, (drummer for Kylie Minogue, Massive Attack, and Il Divo).

At college, I played the drums and supported many college musical theatre shows. In addition, I have played the drums at the Royal Academy of Dance and also performed with the Waltham Forest Youth Orchestra.

I graduated with a BA Hons Popular Music from the Leeds College of Music. University provided me with numerous opportunities to branch out and she has successfully co-produced and co-written songs with several fellow artists. I have also gained experience in producing music for film and television.

I have experience in adapting my drumming skills to different genres and styles. I have drummed for various bands and artists. I was the drummer for the neo-soul, R&B band Gracie for two years and also works with Saie the Afromantic an up and coming artist. I have worked with British singer-songwriter Delilah. I worked with theatre company Rashdash in ‘Three sisters’ which toured Manchester, London and Bristol. I worked as a musicians understudy in the west end play one-man show ‘Misty’ by Arinze Kene. I also worked with artist Cosha in her Headline show and also supported Nile Rogers and Chic in their UK Tour.

I also took part in Iceland Airwaves Festival in Iceland and the annual PRS Presents event with Millie Turner and also took part in Millie’s first headline show with H&M and Awal. She has also been working on an exciting new project on climate change and climate emergency with Complicate by Fehinti Balogun (Dec 2019). She was most recently on the Sunshine Kitty UK/EU tour with Tove Lo as support with Millie Turner (Mar 2020).

Unfortunately due to covid myself and the industry has taken a hit however during this time I have been working as a music teacher in primary school and teaches drums privately.

I have a vast range of students with all abilities and have been teaching for almost 5 years now. I specialise in Rockschool graded books but I'm open to learn and teach other exam boards.
