About Jackie

Hi! My name is Jackie and I’m currently a senior high school student with a strong academic background in math and a passion for helping others learn. I’m very outgoing, patient, and easy to talk to, which helps students feel more comfortable and less nervous when asking questions or working through difficult concepts.

As a student myself, I understand how stressful school can sometimes feel, especially when it comes to math. That’s why I always try to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students can build confidence and improve at their own pace. I enjoy making lessons interactive, encouraging, and personalized to each student’s needs rather than making tutoring feel overly strict or intimidating.

Outside of academics, I’m involved in school activities, enjoy working with people, and love finding creative ways to explain concepts so they are easier to understand. I’m responsible, organized, and genuinely care about helping students succeed both academically and personally.

I offer tutoring for students in Grades 1–11, whether they need help with homework, test preparation, understanding class material, or simply building stronger math skills and confidence.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Jackie and I’m a senior high school student with high 90s in math courses and a strong passion for helping students learn in a way that actually makes sense to them. I offer math tutoring for students in Grades 1–11 and I always try to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where students feel confident asking questions and learning at their own pace.

My teaching approach is very patient and personalized. I know that every student learns differently, so I adjust my explanations and teaching methods depending on the student’s needs. I like to break down difficult concepts into smaller, easier steps and use examples, practice questions, visuals, and real-life connections to help students fully understand the material instead of just memorizing it.

A typical lesson usually includes reviewing homework or concepts the student is struggling with, going through step-by-step explanations together, practicing problems with guidance, and then allowing the student to try questions independently to build confidence. I also focus on improving problem-solving skills, organization, and test preparation strategies.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am still a student myself, so I understand the challenges students face in today’s classrooms and curriculum. I try to make lessons less stressful and more relatable while still helping students improve their grades and confidence in math.

Lessons are available for students in Grades 1–11, including students who need homework help, extra practice, test preparation, or support building stronger math foundations.
