About Fin
My name is Fin and I am 24. I am from Scotland and have lived here all my life. I am an aspiring herpetologist which means I want to work with reptiles and amphibians. I have loved animals all my life, starting with dinosaurs and that eventually progressing to a love of modern day reptiles. This love carried me through school, university and through my work abroad.
During my time at university, I studied Zoology. This included a lot of public speaking and presenting to large groups which gave me confidence but it was outside of university I truly realised I love to educate. I have worked in France and Kenya at reptile parks where I would take tours, talk with children and locals and always make a conscious effort to share my knowledge and I would love to be able to do the same for you, no matter what topic you would like me to teach.
I am a very relaxed person who genuinely loves to communicate with people and to teach and help wherever possible. I really look forward to potentially tutoring you.
As a bonus I also have a pet snake called Kiwi who you may like to meet during one of our virtual lessons.

I do not tell you what I will teach you, I teach you what you want and need to be taught.
I will not sit with you for hours on end talking at you and hoping you will miraculously understand what I am teaching. I will actively talk with you, ensure that you are interested as well as engaged with me and the topic I am teaching.
When I was being taught, it always made me more comfortable and willing to learn when I felt at ease with my teacher/tutor and I have incorporated that into my teaching style to make sure that you are always happy and that you are comfortable enough to ask me any questions at any time.
My lessons would be tailored for biology students at GCSE & A-Level and National 5 and Highers. I am also happy to teach younger students too.
