About Sophie
I am a native Chinese speaker currently studying at university in Canada, which allows me to clearly explain Chinese concepts in English and understand the challenges English-speaking learners often face. Having learned and lived in different cultural environments, I am familiar with cross-cultural communication and learning styles. I focus on clarity, patience, and building confidence, especially for students who feel nervous about speaking. I take a structured yet flexible approach to teaching and aim to create a supportive and comfortable learning environment where students can progress at their own pace.
